Maintenance Technician
Detroit, MI
Company is an automotive  metal stamping facility 
Pay Rate: $30-35/hr, based on experience 
*Up to $39/hr if well experienced with PLC, Controls and Stamping Presses

Shifts:
1st shift: 6am – 2:30pm with potential OT to 4:30pm
Split shift: 9am-5:30pm with option to move to standard 2nd shift hours of 4:30pm to 3:00am 

Company is seeking an all-around Maintenance Technician for the day-to-day upkeep of our Stamping Facility. This position will service the automated stamping and assembly equipment as well as the facility itself. Candidates must be comfortable and safe while working from heights and in confined spaces.

Position Requirements
Adept with pneumatics, hydraulics, mechanical
Adept with pneumatic/hydraulic/mechanical schematic reading/understanding
Proficient with various tools (hydraulic jacks, dial indicators, pneumatic/electric power tools)
Capable of Welding (MIG/TIG) and Fabricating
Must not be afraid of heights or confined spaces
Able to be licensed to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and aerial work platforms
Must be willing to learn and work as part of a team
Willing to perform any maintenance task from replacing light fixtures to major press repairs
Must have/supply own basic mechanical tools (specialty tools are supplied)
Mechanical Aptitude (Knows how to take things apart and put them back together)

Preferred Experience

Forklift knowledge including mechanics, motors, and ability to service.
Journeyman Millwright Experience is a plus
Stamping Presses knowledge (gear trains, clutch/brake assemblies)
PLC/Controls/Electrical experience (We can Train)
High voltage up to 480VAC and Low Voltage to 24VDC
