Pay rate: $31-33/hr, based on exp.
JOB SUMMARY
The purpose of this position is to maintain a smooth and efficient flow of work through the CNC machining area.
This will allow the machinist to be productive, keeping the machines cutting metal.
EXPERIENCE
Must have experience using ANY software to create cutter paths for CNC Mills
Must have worked with a 3D CAM system and 3D Solid models
Will also create 2D part drawings
SolidCam (software runs inside Solidworks) experience helpful, but not required
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty that is listed below satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
•Generate tool paths for CNC machines and convert the tool path to machine language.
•Program a variety of machines including milling and turning machines.
•Programming off 3D models using a 3D CAM package.
•Support tool management system (MSC vending machines).
•Flag all special tool requirements in advance of the parts being loaded onto the machines.
•Assist Plant Manager in developing new programming strategies to eliminate machining and designing errors.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities
EDUCATION
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with at least 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
1st shift: 7am - 5/5:30pm
Monday through Friday, some Sat. when needed, avg. 45-55 hrs./ week
*Co. offers flex time with certain start and end times that employees can pick from depending on hours being worked.
These schedules are able to be switched on a weekly basis as long as their supervisor, work load and coverage allow for whatever schedule the employee picks.
