Pay Rate: CNC Machinist $21-24/hr based on experience
CNC Machine Operator pay up to $17.50 based on experience

Sets up and operates CNC machines or machining centers to perform various machine functions, such as cutting, drilling, milling, reaming, boring, and broaching of metallic and nonmetallic workpieces by performing the following duties.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Prepares and pre-sets all tools needed for machining operations.
Verifies that fixture setup meets acceptable quality standards regarding milling and boring sizes, depths, angles, or other specifications.
Mounts, aligns, and secures tooling, attachments, and workpiece on machine.
Assembles cutting tools in toolholders and positions toolholders in machine magazines.
Loads control media, such as tape, card, or disk, in machine controller or enters commands to retrieve preprogrammed instructions from database.
Calculates and sets machine controls to position spindle in relationship to workpiece and to regulate factors such as cutting depth, speed, feed, and coolant flow.
Conducts prove-outs and manual programming during setups as needed.
Starts machine and monitors displays and machine operation to detect malfunctions.
Stops machine to change cutting tools and setup according to required machining sequence or to measure parts for conformance to blueprint specifications.
Enters commands or manually adjusts machine controls to correct malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining.
Operates machine manually to perform nonautomated functions and when automatic programming is faulty or machine malfunctions.
Discusses control media errors with supervisor or programming personnel to resolve problems.
Cleans machine, tooling, and parts.
Performs machine maintenance.
Reads and interprets blueprints, planning sheets, sketches, and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences
Required Skills/Abilities:
Basic knowledge of SPC and Quality Systems (TS16949).
Basic knowledge of CNC Programming G&M codes, and CNC type of machinery.
Basic knowledge of machining, assembly processes.
Basic understanding of Control Plans, FMEA, Flow Charts, GD&T, cutting tooling and setup
Basic knowledge of hydraulic, lubrication and mechanical equipment
Proficient understanding of CMM reports, gage readings, and able to use CMM reports and gages to adjust assigned proces
Basic computer skills
Ability to work 10-hour shifts and weekend hours, as needed or required.
Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic to intermediate knowledge on machining and assembly process.
Three years’ experience with CNC tooling Setup
Work Environment:
The job works in conditions with constant exposure (67% or more) to noise, odors, dust, drafts, and chemicals.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to operate in a manufacturing setting.
Able to push, carry, or pull heavy objects weighing over 35 lbs.
Hours:
2nd shift: 2:30pm - 12:30am Mon-Thurs with some Friday and Saturdays
