Cut & Sew Technician

Company is a Tier-1 & 2 automotive & aerospace supplier
Pay: Up to $20/hr based on experience
Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm
Responsibilities:
-The sewer receives a Mylar pattern from pattern maker.
-Sewer is responsible for choosing proper materials, with input from pattern maker and/or customer.
-Sewer then lays out and cuts out material.
-Under the direction of pattern maker, sewer then sews cover to specification and advises of any issues.
-Efficiently and properly sew various seams, including Deck Seams and Proper Butterfly French Seams
-Responsible for maintaining inventories and requesting orders.
-Responsible for requesting maintenance on all machines.
-Support compliance with quality policies
-Support corporate continuous improvement initiative.
-Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-Experience in automatic and manual sewing techniques (including properties of fabrics/leathers)
Position is 90 day contract to direct hire.
