Job Description

We are currently seeking an Account Advocate to join our Midwest Energy Efficiency team to provide critical program support for Michigan-based energy efficiency programs. The primary role the Account Advocate will serve is to provide support for field-based staff and the network of participating Trade Allies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of a team on the implementation of client sponsored energy efficiency programs.
  • Maintain ongoing communications with participating contractors, customers and consultants.
  • Provide general support to field based staff.
  • Coordinate and follow up on program Quality Assurance activities as appropriate.
  • Act as liaison between program participants, subcontractors and customer service/processing team.
  • Support and track contractor enrollment in programs.
  • Responds to trade allies and customers inquiries and answers product and service questions.
  • Resolves and clarifies customer and energy efficiency program complaints.
  • Provides IT support and training to energy efficiency program participants.
  • Tracks areas for process improvements .

Field activities:

  • Coordinates and/or conducts training and outreach activities.
  • Resolve in-field customer issues as needed.
  • Verify product installation and complete residential field inspections as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associates Degree or 3 years of equivalent work experience required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • 1-2 years of energy efficiency related experience.
  • 1-3 years of rebate processing experience in technical sector. Examples include; construction, energy, automotive or IT services.
  • Previous customer service experience in home repair/renovation or equivalent building trades.
  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities.
  • Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information.
  • Ability to apply detailed knowledge of organizational procedures to make independent decisions and serve as a credible resource for a senior management team.
  • Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel).
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00/hourly, pending experience

Benefits: Full benefits and vacation offered at 90 days of employment

Duration: Contract to hire
