Tool Room Supervisor (non-union)
Co. has a cold heading process for bolts and studs for high vibration high heat applications in exhausts or turbo chargers (UAW/ union co.)
Salary: $80K/yr (avg. 50 hrs per week, approx. $30/hr)
This position will manage the day-to-day functions of the 5-7 tool room employees. This will include proper maintenance and service of tools, a high level of quality while minimizing costs, meeting tool standards, part specifications and delivery requirements.
Ensure all department activity meets quality workmanship standards and is accurate in accordance with part and tool drawing specifications.
Direct departmental resources to ensure tools are available to meet production requirements and resources are applied in a productive manner to meet deadlines.
Evaluate employee performance, conduct reviews, develop skills and ensure employees are held accountable for all duties of the job.
Troubleshoot tool performance issues, excessive repair and damage, through proper investigation.
Participate in devising ways to effectively implement the principles of lean manufacturing and support a culture of continuous improvement.
Operate and improve tool maintenance and preventative maintenance systems to collect and assess repair data.
Manage timesheets, schedules, and time off requests in Day-force.
Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures.
Other duties may be assigned or required for this position.

Experience and Education
Knowledge of the field's policies, procedures and practices
Lead and direct the work of other employees
Seeking 4 or more years of experience
Intermediate verbal and written communication skills
Project management skills
1st Shift: 6am-3:30pm, Mon-Friday, Sat. 6am-12pm, 9 hours shifts
The supervisor must be willing to work weekends if their team is working.
