Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Plant Maintenance Technician to join our team on 2nd shift. This position is temporary, covering medical leaves, with the possibility of transitioning into a full-time role. The successful candidate will participate in the Total and Preventive Maintenance (TPM) of all equipment and facilities to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, repair, and maintain all equipment and facilities as required.
• Analyze mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic problems on assigned equipment and make necessary corrections to maintain maximum production and quality.
• Propose and implement actions for continuous productivity and quality improvements for facilities and processes.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation related to maintenance and the completion of Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks.
• Improve knowledge base continuously and contribute to team development.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policy.
• Actively participate in work teams, and implement at least six improvement ideas per month.
• Follow work rules, procedures, and company codes of ethics and management.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Job Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications:

• Technical diploma and/or journeyman card, or a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Ability to adjust robot programs (training provided).
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills.
• Hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of quality systems, health, safety, and environmental systems.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Good communication skills to interact with employees at all levels.
• Forklift/Scissor/Boom certification (successful completion of Franklin certification training).
• Valid driver's license.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with occasional exertion of 25 to 100 pounds of force.
• Requires physical activities such as pushing, pulling, reaching, standing, walking, gripping, and bending.
• High mental and visual effort required.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed and assist on other shifts.

Safety Requirements:

• Steel-toed shoes required at all times in the production area.
• ANSI Z87.1 standard safety glasses required due to dust, oils, and debris.
• Ear protection required due to high noise levels.
• Bump caps required to reduce the risk of head injury.
• Exposure to significant temperature changes (heat in summer, cold in winter).

Pay Rates:

• Maintenance Tech: $33/hour (full-time potential)
