Perm job – 90 day to direct hire, UAW position when hired direct
Day Shift
Position Summary:
Supervise all shipping and receiving activities. Schedule company truck runs and oversee truck
driver. Track all parts for inventory purposes throughout the plant. Provide all paperwork and
process certifications for customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Implements best/cost effective practices of material control systems for the efficient
operation of the shipping/receiving and scheduling function.
Provides customers with necessary paperwork during shipments (process certifications).
Schedules truck runs to provide customers with necessary stock quantities.
Supervises hi-lo and warehouse help, to provide a clean and safe work environment.
Tracks all part inventories for customers; match monthly and quarterly inventories.
Manages multiple priorities/projects and demonstrate formal problem-solving skills.
Communicates/operates in team environment and deals with customers.
Develops, designs and implement policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as required.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises employees in the Shipping & Receiving Department. Carries out supervisory
responsibilities in accordance with the organizations’ policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities
include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work;
addressing customer complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or six months to one-year related
experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of Visual Shop, Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook.
