Mazak CNC Vertical Mill Programmer / Operator

Pay rate: $25-35/hour based on experience
1st Shift: flex start of 6 or 7am, option to work OT up to 4:30pm daily, optional OT on Sat.
Summary:
Set up, program and operate CNC machines and machine centers to perform various functions, such as cutting, drilling, milling, reaming, and boring of metals, utilizing knowledge of machine tool capabilities, machine ability of materials, blueprint reading, and industrial math.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Ability to setup parts based upon a part print, including setting and developing tooling and work piece holding, establishing work piece coordinates, writing programs, and verifying part dimensionally before submitting to inspection for first piece approval.
Ability to edit programming, set-up, adjust, and tune Mazak Machines.
Ability to make adjustments (offsets) as necessary to keep part within customer requirements.
Ability to change tooling as required.
Ability to read, have knowledge of use and application of micrometers, calipers, depth gages, indicators and various standard shop gages.
Ability to read part prints and familiar with GD&T.
Ability to do basic shop math.
Ability to follow directions and complete paperwork as required by supervisor. Strong communication skills both orally and written.
Knowledge of machine controls and their functions.
Knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and adjust when necessary.
Also adhere to all plant safety rules and regulations, all policies and procedures, complete all daily paperwork, attend all job-related meetings, maintain cleanliness of work area, and represent company to customers, suppliers and co-workers in a professional manner.
Education and Experience:
Machining experience required
Prior experience using Mazak and CNC Lathes and Mills preferred
3 year experience as a CNC Mill Programmer/ Operator
Familiarity with Mazatrol smooth g programming preferred
Conversational programming and controls (CNC), would be a plus
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
