Mold Setter

Company is a plastic injection facility that manufactures small precision auto parts, connectors etc.
Pay rate: $20-23/hr
1st shift: 7am to 4pm, Mon-Friday, some OT avail.
JOB FUNCTIONS
• Completely and accurately sets molds in presses, ensures all water lines, electrical, pneumatic,
and hydraulic connections are properly set up following the instructions provided in our process books.
• Responsible for the installation and removal of all auxiliary equipment used in the molding process.
• Cleaning of dryers and material hoppers.
• Responsible for ensuring the proper material is brought to the line (resin, colorant, etc.).
• Responsible for maintaining high standard of housekeeping and 5s.
• Responsible for the upkeep of machine press platens once mold is pulled.
• Responsible for in-press preventive maintenance of molds, including dry ice blasting, as needed.
• Responsible for accurate record keeping, using our MES system to document when mold is pulled or installed.
• Coordination with material handlers, process technicians and supervisors to meet customer
production and shipping requirements.
• Reviewing upcoming mold changes.
• Other duties may be assigned as needed.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience in injection molding
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Able to take initiative and troubleshoot complex situations
• Ability to keep a good attendance and punctuality record
• Team player
Permanent position - 90 day contract to direct hire
