Overview:

We are looking for a reliable and skilled Setup Technician to join our team on 2nd or 3rd shift. This position is temporary, covering staffing needs, with the possibility of transitioning into a full-time role. The Setup Technician will be responsible for setting up and maintaining equipment to ensure smooth operations and optimal production performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, calibrate, and maintain equipment to ensure smooth production operations.
• Perform routine maintenance checks to ensure equipment is functioning properly.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to maintain production quality and efficiency.
• Assist in the setup and changeover of machinery between production runs.
• Maintain accurate setup records and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental guidelines.
• Collaborate with other technicians and production teams to optimize processes.
• Follow work instructions and procedures to ensure high-quality standards are met.
• Assist with any other duties as assigned by management.

Job Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a setup or maintenance-related role.
• Basic mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Forklift certification is a plus (training available).
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
• Requires occasional pushing, pulling, and gripping.

Safety Requirements:

• Steel-toed shoes required at all times in the production area.
• ANSI Z87.1 standard safety glasses required due to dust, oils, and debris.
• Ear protection required due to high noise levels.
• Bump caps required to reduce the risk of head injury.

Additional Information:

• Shift Premium: $1.00/hour for both 2nd and 3rd shifts.
• Pay Rate: $21/hour with potential for overtime.
• Temporary Position: Opportunity to transition to full-time depending on performance and business needs.
