Shipping and Receiving Clerk

Co is a plastic injection molding manufacturer
Hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (6:00am until 5pm when busy and load requires it)
Pay: Up to $20/hr
Responsibilities and Duties:
Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of
incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading,
invoices, orders, or other records.
Affixes shipping label on packed cartons or stencils identifying shipping information
on cartons.
Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.
Stamps, stencils, or glues identifying information and shipping instructions onto
crates or containers.
Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
Unpacks and examines incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records
shortages. Routes items to departments/locations.
Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
Operates tier lift truck or uses hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from
shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
Must have Hilo permit.
Responsible for adhering to all shipping and receiving and manufacturing
procedures.
Perform miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as directed.
Empowerment to take responsibility for the quality of work performed.
Job Requirements:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Frequently required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months
related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and
experience.
