Team Lead Quality Control

Pay Rate: $22-24/hr
Co. is 3rd party quality inspection facility for auto part manufacturing
Tier-1 auto supplier, worksite area: Detroit and Auburn Hills, Mi
Hours:
1st shift, 6:30am-3pm with flexibility (10-12 HOUR SHIFT IF NECESSARY)
2nd shift, 3pm-11pm with flexibility (10-12 HOUR SHIFT IF NECESSARY)
(If necessary, Saturday & Sundays 2pm-10pm)
Note:
Candidates must have previous leadership role, min. 2 yrs
Must be able to work both shifts
2-day training held in Sterling Heights MI.
Duties:
Team Lead may also be responsible for overseeing multiple sorting, inspection, and rework jobs within an automotive manufacturing facility
Will assign jobs and manage temp/ contract labor - team of up to 10-15 quality inspectors
Will train new contract labor staff using the work instructions
Will oversee the quality of job produced & completion
Will be offered laptop computer and portable printer (for work instructions)
Will email customers and reply to their correspondence
Will be contacting staffing sources to request labor as needed to fill open positions
Minimum Requirements:
Prior experience in an automotive related manufacturing facility preferred
Must be able to think "outside the box" and deal w/ unexpected labor shortage
Must be able to move work around the demand and, switch from one type of job to another
Must have good computer skills to navigate to Excel and print work instruction for the day (basic use, training offered)
Must be a reliable worker w/ reliable transportation
High School diploma or equivalent
Contract to hire job based on work performance and availability of work
Will work at one location until assignment is complete, then will be offered another worksite as needed
