Co is a steel tubing manufacturer

Shift: 2nd shift 2:45 pm until 12:45 am Monday - Thursday

Pay: $20/hr (or more for a well qualified candidate)

Job Overview
The Mechanical Tubing Mill Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining tubing mill machinery to produce high-quality mechanical tubing in a manufacturing environment. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency to meet production goals.

Job Responsibilities 
Machine Operation: Operate tubing mill equipment, including setting up machines, adjusting controls, and ensuring proper function to produce tubing that meets specifications.
Quality Control: Inspect finished tubing for defects, ensuring compliance with blueprints, technical drawings, and customer requirements.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, such as cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting machinery, and report any mechanical issues for repair.
Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve operational issues with machinery to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintaining a safe, organized work area.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with other operators, supervisors, and quality control staff to ensure smooth operations and meet deadlines.
Material Handling:  Load and unload raw materials and finished products, using forklifts, cranes, or other equipment as needed.

Qualifications
Technical or vocational training in manufacturing or mechanics preferred.
Proven experience as a tubing mill operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing setting.
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
Familiarity with operating and maintaining industrial machinery and tools.
Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to [e.g., 80 lbs.] and standing for extended periods.
Basic computer skills for logging production data or operating automated systems.
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one (if applicable).
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Commitment to workplace safety and following OSHA regulations.

Work Environment
Fast-paced manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.
May require working rotating shifts, overtime, or weekends depending on production needs.

Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move heavy materials, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment with proper safety measures.

Reports To
Production Supervisor or Plant Manager
