Job Overview
The Metal Fabricator position is responsible for the assembly of cabinets using welders, hand tools, air tools, and power
tools.
Will train for few weeks w/ the Team Lead and will be trained on any machines not familiar with
This position reports to the Plant Manager.
Job Functions:
Read and interpret construction drawings provided by our Engineering department.
Plan, layout, determine work procedures, have knowledge of material properties, and determine the sequence of
work steps for setting up work pieces for assembly, and complete in a timely manner.
Perform quality checks on production to include inspection and measurements in order to verify the production
parts are meeting requirements of the print.
Establish and record metrics for department utilization, productivity, and time by work order.
Operate welding machine using MIG welding (90% alum., 10% steel)
Operate an overhead power crane.
Operate various saws.
Operate Metal Punch.
Operate Shear.
Operate a Brake Press Bender.
Read and use a tape measure.
Use various hand and power tools.
Must follow all safety, regulatory, and environmental/hazardous standards.
Education and Experience required:
1 – 3 years in related experience and/or training.
Welding and/or Fabrication certification is a plus.
Forklift certification is a plus.
Crane certification is a plus.
Equivalent combination of education and experience.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
